Planeta Polar are a colourful trio radiating pure carnival vibes, which is why their debut album simply had to be called Puro Carnival. Described by the band’s frontman as “more of a cosmic parrot than a flying dolphin”, this delightful collection of highly danceable songs contains plenty of surprises for fans of Latin music.

Along with the traditional accordion, percussion and guitars, Planeta Polar add the absurd sense of humour which can only be found in the heads of three Lithuanian guys who one day decided to sing in Spanish and make their own hats. Their first ever song “Boliche” was a ridiculous experiment which accidentally succeeded and led to the creation of a whole repertoire.

Since then they’ve toured their tunes around el mundo from Lithuania to actual Latin America, making feet shuffle everywhere they go. Now all their festival hits have been included on Puro Carnival and smiles are guaranteed, but you’ll have to sew your own costume because the band aren’t lending you theirs.
